Yumeno wowed us! Granted. There were many beautiful things that happened during this meeting. What thrilled us the most, though, must have been the performance of Yumeno. She joined us this January, which means she has a mere eight-month experience as a Toastmaster, and she served as General Evaluator, generally the last meeting role a new member takes on.
What impressed us is not the fact that she experienced all these roles (Ah-Counter, Grammarian, Topicsmaster, Evaluator, Timer, Toastmaster of the Day, and General Evaluator) in eight short months, but the depth of her general evaluation. She gave a succinct yet to-the-point evaluation to each functionary role taker as well as each and every evaluator. This is something we don't expect from a first-time General Evaluator. Actually, even a member serving in the role for the third time may not be able to give that thorough evaluation over the entire meeting. Beautifully done!! Pan and Eileen nailed it, too! Let me quickly add that there are many superb things that happened this time including all those other first-time role takers doing beautiful jobs. Pan as the Timer helped the meeting go super smoothly with fabulously precise and timely reports and Eileen gave a detailed Grammarian report. They both made a debut, making a difference. In short, this was another extraordinary meeting, and I can't wait to welcome guests in October onward to experience what we do every single meeting.
