Farewell, four members
As this was the last meeting of a membership period (Sept. through March), we bade farewell to four members. More precisely, C.J. Marks, one of the founders, and Eri joined us for the last time (at least for the foreseeable future) at the last meeting, and Maya and Miyu had their last appearance this time.
It's sad to see them go, but they have good reasons. One decided to leave not only Shin-Osaka Leaders but also District 76, an entity that spans the entire country of Japan, to spend more time with his family and his commitment as a speech coach. The others left because they are too busy to participate in the meetings. We hope to welcome them back when they have more time.
More opportunities
Their departure means more opportunities for remaining members because fewer members means more roles for some of the participating members. At this meeting, too, we had five members serving in multiple roles. Whether these roles involve a lot of speaking time or not, each role offers its unique learning opportunities to improve our skills. We will cherish these added opportunities and boost our skills so that we can have quality meetings to welcome more members.
