Regular Meeting 121, July 1, 2025 (Hybrid)

🎉 Happy New Toastmasters Year!

We kicked off the new Toastmasters year with great energy and new beginnings!

I’m honored to return as Club President — for the first time since 2021–2022. Back then, I had only been in Toastmasters for about two years. Now, with more experience and a broader perspective, I feel ready to serve in a new and meaningful way.

My personal motto is:

“The first job of leadership is to love people. Leadership without love is manipulation.”

With that in mind, I hope to lead with warmth, support, and care throughout this year.

To mark the start of this new term, we had a wonderful meeting full of highlights.

U, who joined in June, took on the role of Topicsmaster for the first time — and handled it beautifully. The Topicsmaster is the person who leads the Table Topics session and poses impromptu questions to the members. Each member gives a spontaneous speech in response to the question, practicing their ability to think and speak on the spot. Thanks to her skillful facilitation! 

Ulzii, who joined just in May, served as Timer with no problems at all. Lovely. Also, I was genuinely happy to see that he spoke confidently and reached the qualified time for the first time in a Table Topics session! Great job! 

Their confident roles showed how fast our new members are growing. How wonderful!

We also held elections for the VPPR and Sergeant at Arms roles, and we’re happy to report that our officer team is now complete!

Our newly elected VPPR, Stella, is already full of creative ideas for promoting the club — she’s incredibly reliable and motivated. We’re lucky to have her on the team!

Here’s to a year of growth, fun, and leadership together at Shin-Osaka Leaders!
