Online-Only Meeting: Moments of Truth Discussion

Today, we held a special online-only meeting focused on Moments of Truth.Although we usually meet in a hybrid format — both in Shin-Osaka and on Zoom — this time, everything took place virtually.

What is Moments of Truth?

Moments of Truth is a Toastmasters self-assessment tool designed to help clubs evaluate and improve the member experience. It highlights key touchpoints — such as how guests are welcomed, how meetings are conducted, and how members are supported — that shape a person’s overall impression of the club.

At today's meeting, we held two breakout sessions in small groups of 3 to 4 members.

Together, we explored two important questions:

🔹 What kind of environment would make both new and long-time members want to stay?🔹 Toastmasters recommends having 20 members in a club. So, how can we reach that number?

Each group brought forward unique insights and creative ideas, sharing from their own perspectives and experiences. Every contribution was meaningful, and I truly appreciated the opportunity to hear from everyone.

It was uplifting to see such thoughtful discussions take place. I’m grateful for the openness, honesty, and passion each of you brought to the table. Discussions like these help us reflect and grow — both as individuals and as a club.
