Budget approved!! We not only practice public speaking but also manage our club ourselves. This obviously involves making a budget. We have been discussing the budget for this program year and we approved it at the end of this meeting. Toastmasters learning demonstrated Earlier in the meeting, we had three prepared speeches, five Table Topics speeches, and five evaluation speeches, with the last two evaluators discussing the first two evaluation speeches.
This is a critical part of learning in Toastmasters. Not having instructors or teachers, we provide evaluation and feedback to each other. That being the case, the quality of our evaluation is critically important. That's why we have this project called "Evaluation and Feedback." In this project, members first deliver a speech and receive feedback. Then they deliver another speech incorporating the feedback they received for the first speech, after which they serve as an evaluator and provide feedback. The first evaluator this time made her debut as an evaluator, paying full attention to the speech and providing meaningful evaluation. The second evaluator was an experienced member working on this Evaluation and Feedback project for the second time. It must have been a great opportunity to have her evaluation speech evaluated by another member with less experience. In short, we demonstrated how we learn as Toastmasters and we all did a great job.
