Today, we held our Table Topics Competition.I had the honor of serving as the Chair for this event.
One of the things I love about Table Topics is that there is no eligibility requirement, which means anyone can participate — even our newest members. We had a member who joined in November step up and compete, and I was truly impressed by their willingness to challenge themselves right away. Their attitude is truly wonderful and inspiring.

The English Table Topic for today was:
“What do you love about your country?”
The responses were especially interesting because our participants came from diverse backgrounds — Myanmar, Taiwan (two members), and Japan. Hearing what each person appreciates about their home country made the session unique and meaningful.
The Japanese topic was:
“If you could ride a time machine, would you go to the past or the future?”
Two participants chose the future, while one chose the past. Each perspective was fascinating, and it was a joy to hear their reasoning and imagination.
I would also like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt appreciation to the members from other clubs and all the role takers who supported us and helped make this competition possible. Thank you so much!
It was a fantastic competition filled with courage, spontaneity, and cultural richness. I’m incredibly proud of everyone who participated, and I’m grateful to witness our members continue to grow through these challenges.
As we look ahead, our next big milestone will be the Area C3 Contest on February 28th. Let’s continue supporting one another, and let’s keep growing together as Shin-Osaka Leader.
