On May 12, 2026, Shin-Osaka Leaders Toastmasters Club held its regular meeting.

Our club usually meets on the first, third, and fifth Tuesdays of the month. However, because the first Tuesday of May overlapped with Japan’s Golden Week holidays, this meeting schedule was adjusted by one week.

In addition to the regular meeting program, we also held our club officer election for the next Toastmasters year.

As part of the election process, each officer candidate delivered a two-minute speech to share their vision and goals for the next term. It was a valuable opportunity for members to hear each candidate’s ideas, leadership style, and hopes for the future of the club.

At Toastmasters, club officers change every year. This system gives members the opportunity to develop leadership skills by taking on different responsibilities and supporting club operations together.

Through officer roles, members can gain valuable experience in areas such as:

  • leadership and teamwork,

  • communication and coordination,

  • event and meeting management,

  • problem-solving,

  • and supporting the growth of other members.

Toastmasters is not only a place to improve public speaking skills, but also a place where members can challenge themselves through leadership experiences.

We appreciate all members who volunteered to serve as officers for the next term, and we look forward to another year of learning and growth together.

Maho Hummel President, 2025-2026
