Regular Meeting 155, September 18, 2026 (Hybrid)

It's fun to try new things.
We started two new things. First, we extended the time we set aside for participants to write their comments from one minute to two. With multiple roles during the meeting, most members have found it hard to write comments in one minute. We have often run out of time and had to finish our comments after the meeting. This time, it was much easier to finish writing our comments while our memory was fresh right after the speech.
Another thing we introduced this time was something we tentatively named "Round-robin Feedback." In this session, every participant took turns briefly commenting on the prepared speeches. We introduced this to give participants more opportunities to deepen their understanding of ways to deliver better speeches.
This time, our General Evaluator, Swan, facilitated this session and had everyone give brief comments. This proved to be a fun and engaging session, with members commenting from different perspectives. One member said he found one gesture engaging, while another found it a bit too noisy. Some commented on the content, while others commented on the delivery.
It was not perfect, though. We found that it took too much time to have everyone give their comments. Therefore, we are thinking of tweaking this session to make it more interactive and vibrant. We are going to try a new approach at the next meeting. Let's see how it goes.
