Four giant leaps
We loved our 26th regular meeting led by Eileen, who took on the role of Toastmaster of the Day, or facilitator of the meeting, and evaluated by Chinami, who debuted as General Evaluator, with Kim making her debut as an evaluator and our newest member serving as the Ah-Counter for the very first time. Yes, we had four members turn a new page of their Toastmasters journeys. What excited us is the fact that all those four did a fabulous job at that!!
A unique Table Topics question
Normally, topics for the Table Topics session are provided one by one after a Topicspeaker is done with their speech. This time, however, the Topicsmaster gave only one topic for the entire session, "Should Valentine's Day be celebrated?" We heard different responses from seven speakers on the same topic. They had their own original reasons to support or oppose the idea of celebrating Valentine's Day. We were fortunate enough to listen to what Seiji, who's been away from the meetings due to his busy work schedule, has to say on the topic.
Another new addition
After the meeting, we had a free chat session using breakout rooms, and in one of the rooms, one of our guests, who was with us for the third time today, decided to join as a new member. Congratulations on your decision!! You've made the right choice and we look forward to working with you in the months and years to come!!
It's always great to see people make a decision to embark on a new journey. If you are interested in building confidence as a public speaker and/or leader, drop us a line via the "Contact Us" form here.
