Another happy meeting!
We welcomed two new members with one even taking a meeting role. This as well as the fact that 22 members out of 25 showed up signifies how we enjoy trying new things. What was noteworthy about this meeting was that the questions of the Table Topics session and the responses to them were both thought-provoking and fun. Amazingly, the person who brought those topics served as Topicsmaster for the first time! Superb!!
After the meeting, we had a practice session for a member who will be competing in the Division F International Speech Contest. The speech was already well-crafted and well-rehearsed. Yet, about ten members who stayed gave the speaker valid feedback. The session gave us all a great opportunity to think about what great speeches are like. Another delightful news is that two of our guests today decided to join us as members. That same thing happened a week ago. That means two new members two weeks in a row! Astonishing!!
