This was a regular meeting in the real sense of the word. Over the last two regular meetings, we had unique programs because we had a longer-than-usual business session, where we elected the next club officers serving from July this year till June next year and had a discussion on how to use part of our club budget. These "business sessions" are an important part of Toastmasters meetings. Yet, having a regular meeting without anything special business discussed during the business session was just delightful.
During the education segment of the meeting, we had four prepared speeches, which we would love to have unless it's not feasible. The speeches were varied in terms of their themes. The first speaker delivered an informational speech telling us how to use social media. The second and the fourth speakers talked about their leadership experiences. The third speaker, Maho, the current president of our club, delivered a Thank-you message to some members in the club as she is about to end her term as President. We were touched by the messages she addressed to each member mentioned. Oh, by the way, the photo above was taken from an open space on the fourth floor of KOKO PLAZA, where Maho was making the last-minute practice before the meeting.
This second photo is a group photo we took at the end of the meeting with four members gathering at the venue and the others joining online. We hold hybrid meetings with participants joining in person and online as long as the COVID situation allows it. If you'd like to join us either in person or online, contact us via the "Contact Us" form on this page.
