Third Anniversary Meeting
We were officially chartered on January 24, 2021, and we celebrated our third anniversary at the meeting. It was nothing big, though. We just held a Table Topics Session centered around anniversaries and Toastmasters, which lasted 30 minutes, substantially longer than usual. It's just three years, nothing big like a tenth or 15th anniversary, but sharing a happy moment like this was great. The topics for the Table Topics Session were:
How do you celebrate anniversaries?
Do you think "three" is a special number?
What do you think is the secret to a long-lasting relationship?
What is your dream anniversary date?
As a Toastmaster, what are the things you accomplished?
The most unforgettable experiences as a Toastmaster
The scariest thing you've experienced as a Toastmaster
Think of a word that describes you as a Toastmaster
How did Toastmasters influence you?
What are the enjoyable things you do during anniversaries?
Fabulous Grammarian debut
Izz made her debut as a Grammarian. When she joined us last year, she was a bit shy, being by far the youngest member and someone who just graduated from high school. Yet, she has made tremendous progress partly because her classes at college are all in English and partly because she is a Toastmaster. At this meeting, her Grammarian report was phenomenal. She not only found a lot of examples of good words and expressions as well as grammatical errors and mistakes, but she also put them nicely in categories so that her audience found it pretty easy to follow and appreciate what she said. It was one of the best Grammarian reports we've heard in months if not years. Great work!
