Enter a new star We had our second special event organized by non-officer members. It is part of our effort to provide members opportunities to plan and organize events of their choice related to the Toastmasters program. The event this time was organized by two new members, one who joined us in January and the other joining in April. Especially impressive was the one who joined us in April, the one who sits in the middle in this group photo, who served as the sole master of ceremonies.
That's right. The "Immersive View Master" planned this event and from scratch and introduced the speaker and moderated the two Table Topics (impromptu speech) sessions centered around different themes. Not only that, he gave a general evaluation speech over the entire event. The other organizer was the speaker and he delivered an informational speech using slides with beautiful photos. The first Table Topics session was themed around members' personal stories while the second Table Topics session was role-play based. Two members were called to act as salespeople and the third member was the customer. After the two salespeople made their sales pitches the customer had to choose one salesperson to buy the product from with a brief reason for the decision. This added to the unique experience we had with Zoom's immersive view function. We totally enjoyed this special event and look forward to another one very soon. Wonder who will lead the next one.
